Fishman Phelps...

Yep... This be my attempt at the ever so popular, record-breaking, orangutan-armed, swim guy Michael Phelps. I think I did alright. I did the rough sketch while waiting in the doctor's office today from the cover of Sports Illustrated. Then, I inked it without reference at my dad's place while half way watching Duel on his DVR. Then, I colored it at my apartment with a reference again. WTF.

I tried to drew him before a couple weeks ago, but I hated it. I blame the lack of good reference photos...

Since drawing this was so much fun, I think I'm gonna try to draw celebrity caricatures way more often.

Everybody wants to be a superhero...

I wish this wasn't blurry so you could see the detail in the bodies more... God, why do I suck at taking pictures?!

Framed... and I don't know why.

Perfected likeness.

When this kid walked up, he just said he wanted the Hulk, while pointing at celebrity picture from on the wall. So I asked if he wanted a print of the celebrity picture. He said no. Then I asked he wanted me to draw him as the Hulk. He said yes. Then I went on to warn him that it won't look exactly like the one on the wall, meaning that I will not paint his face green and I won't add all the black shadows on the face. He said he was alright with it. So he sat down, and I drew him. When I was done, his reaction was TOTAL disappointment. I KNEW HE WAS GONNA BE LIKE THAT. Kids are retarded. I didn't care. His family loved it and said it looked just like him, so, whatever...

This looked EXACTLY like that kid.

Kids time.

Just some kids. I just like the way that this turned out. These two brothers were seemingly identical in the face at first, but I felt I did a good job making them look different, while getting a good likeness.

The dad to this kid was kind of an douche. He didn't like the first drawing I did, because he claimed the kid looked "cross-eyed", but I just drew the kid looking to the left. WTF? I explained that BOTH eyes would need to be looking inward to be cross-eyed, not just one. Even the kid liked the first one, and didn't think he looked cross-eyed, but the dad persisted. I was all like, "Whatever...". So drew the kid looking forward like the dad wanted, but I like how I gave him a dazed look. And while I was drawing this second one, the dad was saying, "I guess you don't recognize him, but you drew my son for the past two years, and ain't none of them were cross-eyed... etc." I just ignored him and fantasized about punching him the balls with my car. On a side note, it amazed me how much this kid looked like a kid version of Donald Sutherland.

I had no clue what relation the lady was to this kid. She could have maybe been the mom, or maybe the sister... Who knows?

Caricatures are for lovers... (EPIC POST)

Marriage caricatures bore me, but at least the faces didn't..

They just wanted to be baseball fans. Yawn. I had like no room for the bodies.

Again. No room for bodies. Though, I didn't care, because I thought I did a great job on the faces. When they came up I wasn't sure how I was going to draw the girl. She looked weird.

Golf. Yawn.

This couple is in a band, that "A" at the top is the name of it apparently. The guy was kind of annoying, but the girl was cool. When I showed them the picture, the guy explained how he was always afraid to get a caricature, because he was afraid he would be hideous. He liked it, so I guess I didn't draw him hideous.

OMG, what a weird little man... Why he had an attractive Asian girlfriend/wife/person is beyond me. She wanted to be Mr. and Mrs. Smith... Groan.

This Asian couple also wanted to Mr. and Mrs. Smith... WTF?

Just some good likenesses.

Just an average drawing of a couple. I just liked the faces. I nailed them.

Another average drawing, but this looked just like them.

This couple didn't actually sit in front of me and get drawn. They were some some onlookers at the stand, but right after they left, I just HAD to draw them.

Whew. That was a lot.

Just some guys...

Oops. Long time no post.

Just a cop. Whenever I draw cops, I always draw doughnuts.

He likes Nascar.

This was a "special" guy. Man man drew him originally, and when I saw Man man drawing him, I was all like "Luckeee...." But then after that, apparently this guy was watching me draw bunches of people and wanted to get drawn by me. I was so busy, I didn't even notice. I thought that was cool. For "special" guy, he has good taste. LOLZ!!1 This pretty much looks exactly like him. Even that puffiness on the left cheek there.

Just a middle Eastern guy. When I ask what he wanted to be doing in his drawing, he said, "Surprise me!", and this is what happens when you say that.

Another middle Eastern guy, who was friends with the guy above. Err.. He wanted to be driving an airplane. I hate that this picture's blurry.

This was just some spazzy guy who wanted to driving a blue Jeep. I pretty much nailed the likeness.

Revenge of the Groups!

They wanted to be holding bibles. Spanish bibles. Exciting.

The Dad said that he wanted to be just a fat guy with a tie and a pocket protector. I made him look like the guy from Office Space. He loved it.

Hee hee...
